Getting to Whitethorn Farm on Bainbridge Island

Day Rd. is the last stop light as you drive north on Hwy 305.  Whitethorn Farm is on Day Rd West, this is a left turn coming out of Winslow or a right turn from Poulsbo.  As you turn onto Day Rd. West, immediately take the right fork to stay on Day Rd. Go 1/4 mile from the fork until you see the farm sign on the right.

Getting to Bainbridge Island

Seattle to Bainbridge Island Ferry

Bainbridge Island is a 1/2 hour ferry ride (horse friendly) from Seattle and then 10 minutes North on Hwy 305 from the ferry.  The ferry can sound scary with horses but I have been traveling on the ferries for 35 years with my horses and never had a problem.

Edmonds to Kingston Ferry

Kingston is a 1/2 hour ferry ride (horse friendly) from Edmonds and then 25 minutes from the ferry.  Again, the ferry can sound scary with horses but I have been traveling on the ferries for 35 years with my horses and never had a problem.  From the ferry, follow Hwy 104 to a big intersection with an Albertsons on the right (5 or 10 minutes from the ferry).  Turn left onto Miller Bay Rd.  Follow Miller Bay through picturesque Suquammish (obey the speed limits) to the end where it " T's" into Hwy 305.  You will be facing the entrance to the Clear Creek Casino.  Go left, cross the Agate Pass Bridge onto Bainbridge Island.

Driving from Tacoma/Kitsap peninsula

You can also drive from Tacoma.  Bainbridge Island is about a one hour drive from Tacoma.  From Tacoma: Take Hwy 16 from I-5 follow it across the Tacoma narrows bridge to Bremerton.  Bear left onto Hwy 3 ( North), signs say Hood Canal/ Silverdale.  Exit Hwy 3 at Poulsbo/ Bainbridge Island.  This is Hwy 305.  Follow Hwy 305 until you cross the Agate Pass Bridge onto Bainbridge Island.
